it's been a minute since the blog has been active. fall has arrived, things are slowing down + there are many more posts to follow.
bartaco is a new spot on the westside + i'm a big fan. it might be the southern california feel, but the food + vibe do not disappoint. everything at bartaco is quick + easy (as long as there is no wait). food is ordered by filling out a card placed on your table. servers are all there to take your order.
a tapas-like menu - the food is great. simple, but very flavorful. the guacamole is incredibly fresh + the big tortilla chip is a funky alternative to the average bowl of chips. don't miss the grilled corn (with lime, cotija cheese + cayenne). i've heard the plantains are amazing, but will have to try the next time i visit.
the drinks are also quite good. that mojito is a heavy competitor amongst the other atlanta-made mojitos.
what might be the best part of bartaco is the decor. you feel like you've walked into a beach-side spot with the extra large surfing photos and white-washed patio. the staff is very laid back + coordinated with their matching navy blue converse. the only thing this place is missing is the ocean right out the door.
Make sure to try out Bartaco while the weather is still nice for that last taste of summer on the patio.
Otherwise take in the chill, beachy vibe inside.
